Nameri is the third National Park of Assam. The Pakhui (Pakke) Sanctuary of Arunachal Pradesh adjoins the Park on its North-Eastern point. It covers and area of 200 sq.km. The area is criss-crossed by the river Jia- Bhoroli and its tributaries namely the Diji, Dinai, Doigurung, Nameri, Dikorai, Kharietc.
Located 5 kms from Bhalukpong, Tippi is famous for the orchid park and research centre. It has over 50,000 varieties of orchid.
The glass house at the centre of the orchidarium is a feast to one’s eye.
A waterfall approximately 3 kms from Tippi is a sight for sore eyes.
24 kms from Tipi, Sessa is home to a natural orchid sanctuary spread over 10 sq km. More than 2600 orchids representing 80 species have been cultivated in natural surroundings.
